City of Elderly Love's Haunted Duck Race 2023!

Updated: Oct 30, 2023

2023 WINNERS!
Grand Prize: Kimberly Farber
1st Place: Loris Decarlo
2nd Place: Natalie McGinley
3rd Place: Mary O'Neill

Could your spooky little quack win?! Take your shot at one of FOUR amazing prizes by virtually adopting a rubber duck (or 10, there's no limit!) in our second annual Haunted Duck Race! All proceeds help City of Elderly Love continue its lifesaving work, of course.

Please see below for contest rules.

Here's how it works:

We'll be broadcasting via Facebook Live on Sunday, October 29th where 600 little ducky monsters will be taking a dip in our murky swamp (okay, it's a giant kiddie pool but don't tell them that). Each duck will be numbered 1-600 prior to the event. They'll make a few laps around the swamp with help from some spooky little helpers. Once done swimming, the winning ducks will be randomly plucked from the swamp!

You can adopt each duck for just a $10 donation! Adopt as many as you'd like to increase your chances at winning. However, there are only 600 ducks available for adoption - first come, first serve!

What you may win:

Grand Prize: $1,000

1st Place: $300

2nd Place: COEL Swag Bag (t-shirt, mug, tote bag, and sticker bundle)

3rd Place: Let's Stay Home Fund Coffee Bundle (mug, tote bag, and coffee)

How to get started:

Simply purchase your duck(s) below! Be sure to include your CORRECT email address in the transaction details.

We will email you your ducks' randomly assigned numbers within 7 business days of registration. Registration ends Friday, October 21, 2023 or until all available ducks have been adopted!

A couple important notes and contest rules:

  • This is a VIRTUAL event! There is no need to join in person. Join us live on the City of Elderly Love Facebook page on Sunday, October 29th (exact time to be announced).

  • You will be notified via email of your ducks' randomly assigned number. If you do not receive an email within 7 business days of your donation, please check your spam/junk folder then email info@cityofelderlylove.org.

  • While you are "adopting" a duck, you will not physically receive a duck. Our little monsters will be dried off and stored for next year's event.

  • No worries if you can't tune into our live event: winners will also be announced on all City of Elderly Love social media channels as well as be posted right here on our Haunted Duck Race site! We will reach out to each winner via email to arrange claiming of their winnings.

  • You do not need to be local to Philadelphia to participate!

  • Duck adopters must be 18+ but you are welcome to donate in the name of children or organizations. Please specify who you'd like your donation to be in honor of when assigned your ducks' numbers. The individual who adopted the duck will be awarded the prize.

  • Winners will be notified via email. Prizes must be claimed by November 6, 2023.

  • Chances of winning depend on the total number of entries.
